### 戊二　最勝心

> Utmost Mind

『我當皆令於無餘依妙涅槃界而般涅槃！

> "I will lead them all to final liberation in the realm of perfect nirvana, where nothing remains."

涅槃、從行上說名擇滅，就是以智慧擇滅一切煩惱；從果上說名圓寂，是一切功德法都已成就圓滿，一切煩惱業都已斷盡寂滅；這就叫作無餘依妙涅槃。妙，是不可思議的意思。大乘菩薩既發廣大心，不是為一家、一國、一世界的眾生，是普度無量盡虛空界無量眾生的。並且發最勝心，應當普令一切有情入於最勝的無餘依妙涅槃，證得常樂我淨的妙德。

> Nirvāṇa, in terms of practice, is called the cessation through discernment—that is, using wisdom to extinguish all afflictions. In terms of its result, it is called perfect stillness—where all virtuous qualities have been fully accomplished, and all afflictions and karma have been completely extinguished. This is known as the wondrous nirvāṇa without residual attachment. "Wondrous" means beyond conceptual thought. Bodhisattvas of the Great Vehicle, having aroused the vast mind, do not work for the sake of one family, one country, or one world's beings, but universally deliver countless beings throughout the boundless realms of space. Moreover, they arouse the supreme mind, resolving to lead all sentient beings into the most supreme wondrous nirvāṇa without residual attachment, realizing the wondrous virtues of eternity, bliss, true self, and purity.
