### 己二　許說

> Section 2: Permission to Speak

佛言：『大王！汝於過去龍光王佛法中，已問此義。我今無說，汝今無聽，無說無聽，是即名為一義二義。汝今諦聽，當為汝說』。

> The Buddha said, "Great King, in the past, during the teaching of King Dragon Light Buddha, you already asked about this meaning. Now I have nothing to say, and you have nothing to hear. No saying and no hearing—this is what is called the single meaning and the dual meaning. Listen carefully now, and I will explain it to you."

此乃許說二諦也。汝於過去龍光王佛法中已問此義，而龍光王佛已為汝說此義。今復問我，我與彼佛無二無別，故彼說者即是我說，我說者亦即同彼，是以我今無須說，汝今亦無須聽也。彼佛有說，汝先已聽，此即有說有聽，即是二諦非一之義；我今無說，汝今無聽，即是二諦不二之義。然今汝復問我，汝應審諦而聽，仍當為汝說一二之義也。

> This is the teaching of the Two Truths. In the past, within the Dharma of the Buddha Radiant Dragon King, you already asked about this meaning, and the Buddha Radiant Dragon King already explained it to you. Now you ask me again, and I am no different from that Buddha—so what he taught is what I teach, and what I teach is the same as his. Therefore, I now have no need to speak, and you have no need to listen. That Buddha spoke, and you had already listened—this is the meaning of the Two Truths as separate. But now I do not speak, and you do not listen—this is the meaning of the Two Truths as non-dual. Yet since you ask me again, you should listen carefully, and I will still explain to you the meaning of the one and the two.
