### 二　教所建置式

> Chapter 2: The Framework of the Teachings

次言教所之建置式：夫藉相表真，所以圖造塔像，為人天之良福田也。唯因典制儀，故有觀瞻化工，悟佛祖之深法門者。然則其建設顧可以苟乎？試粗述崖略焉：

一者、佛法僧園：既以園名，亦成園式。須得一萬方丈地基，界園、環以短垣，夾道、蔭以行樹，竹木花果、亭臺舟車、淨沼清流、珍禽靈獸，佳蔬之畦，柔草之場，點綴略備，似祇園焉。試擬一圖，略見大意。

> First, the Garden of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha: It bears the name of a garden and should be built like one. It requires a foundation of ten thousand square zhang, enclosed by low walls, with pathways shaded by rows of trees. Bamboo, woods, flowers, and fruit trees; pavilions, terraces, boats, and carriages; clear ponds and flowing streams; rare birds and gentle animals; plots of fine vegetables and fields of soft grass—all these details should be arranged to resemble the Jetavana Garden. I will sketch a plan to give a general idea.
