「善知識！定惠猶如何等？如燈光，有燈即有光，無燈即無光。燈是光之體，光是燈之用。名即有二，體無兩般。此定惠法，亦復如是。

> "Good friends! What are concentration and wisdom like? They are like a lamp and its light. When there is a lamp, there is light; without a lamp, there is no light. The lamp is the substance of the light, and the light is the function of the lamp. Though their names are two, their substance is the same. The Dharma of concentration and wisdom is also like this."
