尋牛序一
從來不失。何用追尋。由背覺以成疎。在向塵而遂失。
It has never been lost—so why seek it out? Because you turn away from awakening, distance arises; By chasing after the world of dust, you lose it.
家山漸遠。岐路俄差。得失熾然。是非鋒起。
My homeland grows distant, and the road ahead suddenly forks. Gain and loss blaze fiercely; right and wrong surge like a clash of blades.
頌曰。
忙忙撥草去追尋 水闊山遙路更深
力盡神疲無處覔 但聞楓樹晚蟬吟
Hurriedly parting the grass, I went to search for you, Waters wide, mountains far, the path grows ever deeper.
Bone-weary and spirit-spent, I find no trace of where you are, I hear only the evening cicadas humming in the maple trees.

石皷夷和尚。
只管區區后外尋 不知脚底已泥深
幾迴芳草斜陽裏 一曲新豐空自吟
又
壞衲璉和尚。
本無蹤跡是誰尋 誤入烟蘿深處深
手把鼻頭同歸客 水邊林下自沈吟
