> Dingzhou Baoen Fayen Chan Master

果州人。上堂。舉俱胝竪指因緣。師曰。佳人睡起懶梳頭。把得金釵插便休。大抵還他肌骨好。不塗紅粉也風流。

> A person from Guozhou. Upon ascending the hall, he cited the story of Juzhi raising his finger. The master said: "A beauty waking from sleep lazily combs her hair; she takes a golden hairpin and tucks it in, then stops. In the end, it’s her natural bone and flesh that matter—without rouge or powder, she’s still charming."
