Ninety-Eight Fetters, First Gate, Chapter 10
見諦門八十八使 欲界有三十二使 色界有二十八使 無色界二十八使
The Gate of Seeing Truth has eighty-eight fetters: the Desire Realm has thirty-two fetters, the Form Realm has twenty-eight fetters, and the Formless Realm has twenty-eight fetters.
思惟門十使 欲界有四使 色界有三使無色界有三使
Contemplating the ten fetters: the desire realm has four fetters, the form realm has three fetters, and the formless realm has three fetters.
次十使而辨九十八使者。正為見思兩道惑障不同。欲使修觀之者。精識所治之惑。斷伏無濫。故教門歷三界五行。細分別十使。則有九十八也。亦名九十八煩惱。通名為使。名煩惱者。類如前釋。若離九十八使。則出一切煩惱。今依數人明九十八使也。若成實論人。所解則異也。
見諦惑欲界三十二使 苦諦下具有十使。集諦下有七使。除身見邊見戒取。滅諦下有七使。亦除身見邊見戒取。道諦下有八使。但除身見邊見。故欲界四行下。合有三十二使。
In the desire realm, there are thirty-two fetters associated with the attachment to views. Under the truth of suffering, there are all ten fetters. Under the truth of origin, there are seven fetters, excluding the view of self, the extreme views, and attachment to precepts and practices. Under the truth of cessation, there are also seven fetters, likewise excluding the view of self, extreme views, and attachment to precepts and practices. Under the truth of the path, there are eight fetters, only excluding the view of self and extreme views. Thus, combined under the four noble truths, there are a total of thirty-two fetters in the desire realm.
見諦惑色界二十八使 苦諦下有九使除瞋。集諦下有六使除瞋。及除身見邊見戒取。滅諦下有六使。亦除瞋及身見邊見戒取。道諦下有七使。亦除瞋使及身見邊見。故色界四行下。合有二十八使也。
見諦惑無色界二十八使 苦諦下有九使。集諦下有六使。滅諦下有六使。道諦下有七使。若取若除。皆如色界中分別。故無色界四行下。合二十八使。合三界四諦下。有八十八使。並是能障見諦之惑。為須陀洹見道之所斷也。分別使相略說。並如前十使章門辨也。
思惟惑欲界四使 一貪使。二瞋使。三癡使。四慢使。
此使從斯陀含向。入修道斷。乃至阿那含果。九品方盡。
思惟惑色界三使 一貪使。二癡使。三慢使。
此三使並是阿羅漢向。用修道智斷也。
思惟惑無色界三使 一貪使。二癡使。三慢使。
故三界思惟惑合有十使。足前見諦。合為九十八使。但此三使亦是阿羅漢向斷。至果方盡也。
次此應廣出諸煩惱科目。所謂三漏。四流。四縛。八邪。八倒。九結。九惱。十纏。乃至五百煩惱。八萬四千諸塵勞門。及恒沙等數煩惱。皆從見愛九十八使。離合而辨。若具出科目(云云)。今略出數科。足以顯教門明煩惱離合惑障潤生之法。諸煩惱科目。至第六卷中。別當更隨要而出。
