### 太陽直日

其日宜冊命、拜官受職、見大人、教旗鬪戰申威，及金銀作、持呪、行醫、遊獵、放群牧，王公百官等東西南北遠行，及造福、禮拜、設齋、供養諸天神，所求皆遂。合藥服食、割甲、洗頭、造宅、種樹、內倉庫、捉獲逃走、入學經官，理當並吉。其日不宜諍競作誓，行姦必。敗不宜先戰、不宜買奴婢。此日生者，足智端正、身貌長大，性好功德、孝順父母、足病短命。若五月五日得此曜者，其歲萬事豐熟。其日若日月蝕及地動者，其處萬物不生。

> On this day, it is auspicious to confer titles, appoint officials, meet with esteemed persons, command troops in battle to display authority, work with gold and silver, recite mantras, practice medicine, go hunting, herd livestock, or for kings, nobles, and officials to undertake distant journeys in any direction. It is also favorable for performing meritorious deeds, worshiping, offering vegetarian feasts, making offerings to celestial beings—all such wishes will be fulfilled. Other auspicious activities include preparing medicinal pills, cutting nails, washing hair, building houses, planting trees, stocking warehouses, capturing runaways, beginning studies, or filing legal cases. This day is not suitable for disputes, making vows, or committing adultery, as such actions will surely fail. It is also inadvisable to initiate combat or purchase servants. A person born on this day will be intelligent, upright in character, tall in stature, naturally inclined toward virtue, filial to parents, but may suffer from foot ailments and have a short lifespan. If this celestial body falls on the fifth day of the fifth month, the year will be abundant in all things. If a solar or lunar eclipse or an earthquake occurs on this day, then crops and living things will not thrive in that region.
