The Memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms was compiled by the monk Iryeon during the Goryeo period and stands as a vital Buddhist historical document of the Korean Peninsula. Completed in the 13th century against the backdrop of a flourishing Buddhist culture under the Goryeo Dynasty, it supplements the historical records of ancient Silla, Goguryeo, and Baekje—including legends and Buddhist accounts not covered in the *Historical Records of the Three Kingdoms*. Its contents encompass royal chronicles, the spread of Buddhism, anecdotes of eminent monks, and tales of the miraculous, with particular attention to the deeds of early missionaries such as Ado and Heukhoja, as well as historical facts like the founding of Bulguksa Temple. As a core text of Korean Buddhist history, it blends historical and religious narratives, holding irreplaceable authority for the study of ancient Korean culture, the development of Buddhism, and folk beliefs.
