An official directive from the prefecture was sent to the Chuanjiao Temple. On the fifth day of this month, an imperial edict was received. The prefecture of Mingzhou reported that, in accordance with the edict, it had conducted a thorough investigation and submitted the following details: the Chuanjiao Temple currently has over one hundred rooms and halls, seventy Buddha statues, and fifty-eight monks residing there, both permanent residents and visiting monastics. The temple was established during the Kaibao era (968–976 CE). A report has been submitted to the emperor. An official document was then issued by the imperial court, bestowing upon the temple the name "Baoyun Chan Temple." This directive has been noted and filed with the Monastic Administration, which has been duly informed. Now, this document must be sent to that temple. Therefore, the temple shall follow the imperial edict and act accordingly.
