第三啟請聖賢
Third Invocation of the Sages and Saints
夫欲發心洗滌罪垢。加功運行證入玅境。每對十方一切賢聖願為證明。雖諸佛賢聖無所不在。若不虔請。對而不現。故須依智。雖識常依佛想。心清智明。理隨事變。即常見佛。名淨緣起。故華嚴云。譬如日出普照世間。於一切淨水器中影無不現。佛日亦爾。普現法界。無前無後。一切眾生淨水器中佛無不現。然行者初入道場。稱念盧舍那佛。右繞一帀至法座前。敷尼師壇。正身正念。慎勿散亂。合掌佇立。嚴德者首唱云。
When you wish to set your mind on the path and wash away the stains of wrongdoing, you must apply effort and practice diligently to enter the wondrous realm. Each time you face all the sages and saints of the ten directions, vow that they will bear witness for you. Though all Buddhas and sages are present everywhere, if you do not sincerely invite them, they will face you yet not appear. Therefore, you must rely on wisdom. Though you know that you should always turn your mind toward the Buddha, when your mind is pure and your wisdom is clear, and you respond to circumstances as they arise, you will constantly see the Buddha. This is called pure Dependent Origination. Thus the Avatamsaka Sutra says: "Just as when the sun rises it shines universally upon the world, and its reflection appears in every vessel of pure water without exception, so too is the Buddha-sun, appearing everywhere throughout the Dharma realm, with no before and no after. In every vessel of pure water of all sentient beings, the Buddha appears without exception." When practitioners first enter the practice hall, they invoke Vairocana Buddha, circumambulate once to the right, and come before the Dharma seat. There they spread their sitting mat, straighten their bodies and focus their minds, taking care not to let their attention wander. With palms joined, they stand waiting. The one who leads with dignified virtue then begins the chant:
一切恭敬。一心頂禮十方常住三寶。
With complete reverence, I bow wholeheartedly to the Three Jewels of the ten directions, which abide forever.
(總禮三寶一拜。互跪執手鑪。爇眾名香。恭敬聖賢。但每旦三請。餘時不用)。
(Always begin by bowing once to the Three Jewels. Kneel facing one another, holding the incense burner, and burn fine incense, reverently honoring the sages and saints. Do this three times each morning; at other times it is not required.)
- 一心奉請南無大光明藏凡聖本源現諸淨土法報圓融盧舍那佛。
- 一心奉請南無娑婆世界釋迦文佛及彼淨土同說圓覺百千萬億河沙諸佛。
- 一心奉請南無清淨覺地光嚴住持盡未來際守護圓覺十方三世一切諸佛。
- 一心奉請南無大方廣圓覺修多羅了義十二部經清淨眼目頓教大乘甚深法藏。
- 一心奉請南無大光明藏淨土會中大智文殊師利菩薩大行普賢菩薩摩訶薩。
- 一心奉請南無淨土會中通明觀行普眼菩薩金剛藏菩薩彌勒菩薩清淨慧菩薩摩訶薩。
- 一心奉請南無淨土會中別明觀行威德自在菩薩辨音菩薩淨諸業障菩薩普覺菩薩摩訶薩。
- 一心奉請南無淨土會中道場如行圓覺菩薩流通教法賢善首菩薩并諸眷屬十萬菩薩摩訶薩。
- 一心奉請南無大悲觀世音菩薩馬鳴龍樹諸祖菩薩及十方三世一切菩薩聲聞緣覺聖僧。
- 一心奉請南無淨土會中守護人法梵釋四王天龍八部乃至火首金剛大力鬼王并諸眷屬。及此國內名山大川當州分野境內鬼神。此所住處護伽藍神守正法者一切賢聖。
