The *Great Ming Revised Catalogue of the Tripitaka* was compiled by the monastic community of Shuangjing Mountain during the Ming Dynasty. It served as the comprehensive official catalogue for the imperially sponsored Ming Dynasty canon, the *Yongle Northern Tripitaka*. Compiled between the Yongle and Zhengtong reigns, this catalogue systematically collected and classified the Buddhist scriptures, monastic codes, and treatises—collectively known as the Tripitaka—that were transmitted and translated at the time. It not only reflects the organizational structure and documentary system of the Ming Dynasty Buddhist canon but also demonstrates the imperial court's emphasis on and support for the orthodoxy of Buddhist scriptures. As a crucial resource for studying Ming Dynasty Buddhist literature, the history of canon publication, and textual bibliography, this catalogue holds a pivotal, transitional role in the development of Chinese Buddhist Tripitaka history. It is an essential document for understanding the transmission of Buddhist scriptures and official Buddhist policies during the Ming Dynasty.
