The Sutra of the Holy Adornment Dharani Spoken by the Buddha, Volume One
Translated by Dharma Master Shi Hu, Tripitaka Master of the Western Regions, Court Gentleman for Ceremonial Service, Acting Minister of the Court
This is what I heard:
At one time, the World-Honored One was in the city of Kapilavastu, in the garden of the Asoka trees, together with the great bhikkhu assembly including Ananda, and the great bodhisattva Maitreya, all gathered in one place. At that time, there also gathered assemblies of devas, nagas, yaksas, raksasas, asuras, garudas, gandharvas, kinnaras, pisacas, pretas, kumbhandas, putanas, cataka demons, the twenty-eight great yaksha generals, the four great yaksha generals, all the constellations and stars, and even the ascetic sages of the Snowy Mountains—all such assemblies came together.
Furthermore, from other realms came all the assemblies of rakshasas and others, such as the protectors, the guardians, the fierce ones, the terrifying ones, the great wrathful ones, and the mighty ones. All such multitudes also gathered together.
