The "Collection on Accordance with Conditions" is a work by the Tiantai school's eminent monk Lingyao from the Qing Dynasty. Active during the early Qing period, Lingyao was well-versed in the teachings and contemplative practices of the Tiantai school. This book serves as his exposition of the core principles of Buddhist doctrine. Centered on the concept of "accordance with conditions," it delves deeply into the Prajñā wisdom of emptiness, elucidating how all phenomena arise and cease in accordance with causes and conditions. Integrating the Tiantai school's practices of śamatha (calm abiding) and vipaśyanā (insight), it guides practitioners in maintaining mental autonomy and tranquility amidst the flux of worldly affairs. With its rigorous structure and profound teachings, this work is regarded as a significant text of the Qing Dynasty Tiantai school. It holds pivotal value in understanding Buddhist thought on dependent origination and meditative practice, serving as an indispensable resource for the study of Chinese Buddhist intellectual history.

No. 975-A隨緣集敘
