稽首慈氏佛 如尊在目前 如來已涅槃今日無請益 故祈冥加力 命筆成此論搜盡八識旨 言言投祖意 普利諸異生同證唯識性 以斯淨妙善 回向於淨土速見阿彌陀 頓捨異熟盡

> I bow to the Buddha of Loving Kindness, As if he were before me now. The Tathagata has entered Nirvana, And today I have no one to ask for guidance. Thus I pray for the invisible help of his power, That I may write this treatise. I have thoroughly explored the principles of the Eight Consciousnesses, Each word resonating with the Patriarchs' intentions. May this benefit all sentient beings, That they may realize the true nature of Consciousness-Only. With this pure and virtuous merit, I dedicate it to the Pure Land. May we quickly behold Amitabha, And suddenly be freed from all residual karma.
