The *Jianzhong Jingguo Xudeng Lu* (Continuation of the Lamp Record from the Jianzhong Jingguo Era) was compiled by the Song Dynasty monk Weibai of the Yunmen school and completed in the first year of Emperor Huizong's Jianzhong Jingguo era. This work is the third major lamp-record style historical text following the *Jingde Chuandeng Lu* and the *Tiansheng Guangdeng Lu*. It contains the recorded sayings, encounter dialogues, and transmission lineages of over six hundred Chan masters from the Northern Song period, with particularly detailed accounts of the Yunmen school's lineage. The entire work is divided into thirty volumes, organized according to sectarian transmission lines, and serves as a key document for the study of Northern Song Chan Buddhism, especially the development of the Yunmen school. It continues the tradition of the lamp-record genre, providing invaluable material for later generations to understand the thought and history of Song Dynasty Chan Buddhism, holding a pivotal position in Buddhist historical literature as a bridge between past and future.
