蓋三寶感應要略錄者。靈像感應以為佛寶。尊經感應以為法寶。菩薩感應以為僧寶。良是濁世末代目足。斷惡修善規模也。夫信為道源功德之聚。行為要路解脫之基。道達三千勸勵後信。教被百億開示像跡。今略表其肝要。粗敘奇瑞。此緣若墮將來無據。蕳以三聚分為三卷。令其易見矣。佛寶聚上。
The *Essential Record of the Three Jewels’ Miraculous Responses* explains: Sacred images and their numinous signs represent the Buddha Jewel; revered scriptures and their spiritual responses represent the Dharma Jewel; and the responses of enlightening beings represent the Sangha Jewel. Indeed, this text serves as a guide through the impure, degenerate age, providing a model for cutting off evil and cultivating virtue. Faith is the source of the Way and the foundation of merit; practice is the essential path and the basis for liberation. The path reaches to the three thousand realms to encourage future faith; the teachings pervade countless worlds to reveal the traces of sacred forms. Now, we briefly present their essential points and summarize these auspicious wonders. If these connections were lost, there would be no basis for future generations. So, for simplicity’s sake, they are divided into three collections across three volumes, making them easy to refer to. First, the collection on the Buddha Jewel.
