At dawn and dusk, when the Sūtra-s are chanted in the Dharma Hall to pray for blessings, the intention is to wish for the emperor’s path to long prosperity and for the Wheel of Dharma to constantly turn. After the morning porridge, the attendant announces to the hall, the bell is rung to gather the assembly, the drum is beaten to turn the Dharma-Wheel, and the attendant sounds the cymbals. The rector recites: (Chant the Mahāprajñāpāramitā) The abbot leads the assembly in circumambulating the Dharma-Wheel three times, symbolizing the three turnings of the Dharma-Wheel. After stopping, the rector recites the Great Compassion Mantra.

Dedication of Merit
(Within the great perfect illumination, there exists the ocean of the Avatamsaka realm. Its merit surpasses the natural order of creation, and its path transcends all words. The light of the three luminaries passes like lightning, yet ultimate reality remains tranquil. The six directions thunder and race, yet all is profoundly still. Such inconceivable Dharma is beyond full praise. On this auspicious day, the resident abbot of [Monastery Name], [Monastery Name] Temple, respectfully gathers all monks of the monastery. With reverence, we approach the Sutra Hall, circumambulating as we recite the sacred name of the Great Mother of All Buddhas and chant the secret scriptures. The vast merit thus accumulated is wholeheartedly directed to extend the boundless lifespan of His Majesty the current Emperor, wishing him lasting peace and health, the Vajra Amitayus, and the Benevolent King Bodhisattvas, and so forth.)
又(三轉法輪於大千。其輪本然常清淨。天人得道斯為證。三寶從茲現世間)。
And then (the Three Turnings of the Dharma Wheel occurred throughout the great universe. The wheel itself was inherently pure and clear. Gods and humans attained enlightenment, validating this truth. The Three Treasures thus appeared in the world.)
