The "Supplemented Gazetteer of Yunlin Monastery," compiled by the Qing dynasty literati Li E and Zhang Zeng, is a Buddhist temple gazetteer documenting the history and culture of Hangzhou's Yunlin Monastery. Completed during the Qianlong era of the Qing dynasty, this work systematically compiles records of the monastery's evolution since its founding, including its architecture, deeds of eminent monks, inscribed steles, poetic compositions, and the transmission lineage of the Chan school. As a significant local Buddhist gazetteer from the Qing period, it not only provides valuable historical material for the study of Chan history and monastic economy in the Jiangnan region, but also reflects the integration of Buddhist culture with scholarly traditions. It holds considerable academic value in the fields of Buddhist historiography and regional cultural studies.
