Vinaya in Four Parts with Annotated Prātimokṣa and Supplementary Lecture Notes

Reasons for My Propagation of the Vinaya

From the very beginning of my monastic life, I read the "Combined Commentary on the Brahma Net Sutra." Later, I read the "Comprehensive Treatise on the Dharma Realm," which inspired my wish to study the monastic precepts.

When receiving precepts, always refer to the *Orthodox Model of Precept Transmission* and the *Essential Compilation of Vinaya Principles and Practices*.

In the spring of 1920, I acquired the ancient editions of the three major texts of Nanshan and Lingzhi from Japan, totaling over eighty volumes.

In the spring of the year Xin You, I began compiling the "Table of Precept Characteristics." By June, the first draft was completed. After that, it underwent many revisions and was copied by hand several times.
