The *Jiaocheng Fashu* (Teaching Methods and Numerical Categories) is a Buddhist reference work compiled by the Ming Dynasty eminent monk Yuanjing. The author, Yuanjing, was a monk of the Ming Dynasty who was well-versed in the sutras and treatises. Compiled during the Ming Dynasty, the work aims to systematically organize Buddhist terms and numerical categories to facilitate study and reference. Structured around numbers, it brings together Buddhist terminology and concepts—such as the Three Jewels and the Four Noble Truths—and explains them with citations from scriptures and commentaries. In Buddhist literature, this book belongs to the category of reference works. It holds significant value for understanding Buddhist terminology and supporting practice, and is an important text for studying the doctrines of Chinese Buddhism.
