Chapter 3: The Mind

搖動變易心，難護難制服，智者令調直，如匠矯直箭。
The mind is restless and ever-changing, hard to guard and hard to control. The wise one steadies and straightens it, like a fletcher straightening an arrow.

Chapter 34
水中魚離棲，棄投陸地上，如是心戰慄，離脫魔世界。
Like a fish pulled from the water and thrown onto dry land, the mind trembles with fear as it escapes the realm of illusion.

心輕隨欲轉，操動難制服，善哉心調御，調御得安樂。
三六
心轉隨欲轉，微妙猛難見，智者當護心，護心得安樂。
三七
遠行與獨動，無形隱胸窟，若誰制彼心，脫出魔繫縛。
三八
若心不安定，不辨於正法，信念不堅者，智慧不成滿。
三九
若得心無惱，亦無思慮惑，超脫善與惡，覺者無恐怖。
四〇
知身如水甕，心安如城廓，慧劍擊魔王，守視真懈怠。
四一
此身實不久，當置於地上，被棄無意識，無用如木片。
四二
仇敵對仇敵，怨家對怨家，若心住邪行，惡業更增大。
四三
〔善〕非父母作，亦非親屬作，若心住正道，善業更增大。
