The *Jiangnan Fancha Zhi* (Record of Buddhist Monasteries in Jiangnan), compiled by the Qing dynasty scholar Huang Zhijun and others, is an important historical gazetteer documenting Buddhist monasteries in the Jiangnan region during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Compiled in the Qing period, this work aimed to systematically organize the historical evolution, architectural scale, accounts of eminent monks, and related literature of renowned monasteries in Jiangnan. Its contents encompass the rise and decline of monasteries, religious activities, stone inscriptions, and literary works, providing valuable historical materials for the study of Buddhist geography, monastic economy, and culture in Jiangnan. As a regional Buddhist gazetteer, it not only reflects the flourishing state of Buddhism in Jiangnan during the Qing dynasty but also holds significant academic value for understanding the Sinicization of Buddhism and local religious history. It serves as an important reference for research in Buddhist historical geography.
