### 示松巖禪人

松巖禪人，出俗年幼，浪跡夜郎，夙因奇遘。甘苦眾中，進前退後，先聖宗乘，未曾專究。空過青春，徒消白晝，寒暑迭遷，齒缺面皺。臥病巴山，莫能自救，感慨欷歔，罪向誰首？今日重逢，眼目如舊，何似回光，追尋反覆？將者關頭，猛然看透，散澹無拘，放身宇宙。佛可與伊，罔欲人授，抑且不孤，在吾左右。信筆書來，一場漏逗，讀之再三，全非虛謬。閒打葛藤，聊成一幅。

> Songyan, you left home young, wandering through Yelang, with a strange fate meeting you in the beginning. In bitter and sweet you shared with many, sometimes you went forward, sometimes backward. The teachings of the ancient sages were never specially studied. Springs and autumns all passed by, days and nights wasted in vain. Cold and heat changed one after another, teeth are missing, face is wrinkled. Ill in bed on Bashan mountains, you cannot even rescue yourself. In sighs and lamentations, who can take the blame for your wrongdoings? Today we meet again, your eyes still the same. So why not turn around the light, search and reflect again and again? Grasp this crucial custom, see it through suddenly! Free and noiseless, let go your body into the universe. The Buddha might allow that to you, but I do not want to preach it to others. I hope, never alone, you are always by my side. Writing casually from my heart, this whole passage has a hidden meaning. Read it, read it three times, not a word is wrong or false. Idly pulling down this vine, this one scroll fully expresses.
