> "Clear Spring, Joyful Scene"

華嚴五山，一山之首。有老比丘，年七十九。見慈舟翁，親雲門叟，靜養自怡，不遑他走。香水海月，豁開戶牖，如寶鏡光，畢彰妍醜，隱現之機，永垂不朽。明年好學趙州禪，若到龍門即寶壽。

> The Huayan Five Mountains, the foremost among them. There is an elder monk, aged seventy-nine. He met Master Cizhou and studied under Elder Yunmen, Cultivating serenity and finding joy, with no time to wander elsewhere. The moon over the Fragrant Sea, a window thrown open, Like a precious mirror's light, revealing all beauty and flaws. The play of hidden and manifest, eternal and undying. Next year, he will study Zhaozhou's Chan; if he reaches Dragon Gate, he will attain Baoshou.
