> Song'an Painting, for Elder Brother Qinglin's Sixtieth Birthday

青青者松，神靜而工，無矯於夏，無歉於冬。擬共松老，結菴於中，聽入耳順，忍俊不禁。風聲、松聲，雜然不混。忽遇趙州，豎指勿吝。

> Pine trees stand evergreen, calm in spirit and fine in craft—no pretense in summer, no regret in winter. I intend to grow old with these pines, building a hut among them. As I listen, my ears become attuned and compliant, yet a smile cannot be suppressed. The sound of wind and the sound of pines mix together, yet never blend into confusion. Should I suddenly meet Master Zhaozhou, I would raise a finger without hesitation.
