第八平等王(觀世音菩薩)
King of Equal Justice
內含慈悲，外現怒相，且施教化之，且貪刑罸之。爾時，天尊說是偈言：
Within, there is compassion and mercy; outwardly, wrathful forms appear. They both bestow teachings and guidance, and impose punishments and consequences. At that time, the Celestial Worthy spoke this verse:
亡人百日更恓惶， 身遭枷械被鞭傷。
男女努力造功德， 從茲妙善見天堂。
On the hundredth day, the departed soul is in deep distress, Bound by chains and wounded by whips. Children and kin, strive to perform good deeds, So that from this virtue, they may behold the bliss of heaven.
