The Complete Works of Master Uisang on Huayan Buddhism (Volumes 1-9) is a collection of Huayan school writings by the eminent Korean Buddhist monk Uisang from the Goryeo period, compiled and edited by modern scholar Kim Ji-gyeon. Master Uisang (923–973) was a key representative of the Huayan school in Goryeo, whose thought integrated the doctrinal principles of the Huayan Sutra with Chan practice, exerting a profound influence on East Asian Buddhism. The collection systematically includes Uisang’s Huayan treatises, commentaries, and poetic works, centrally embodying the core Huayan teachings of "dependent origination of the dharmadhātu" and "non-obstruction between phenomena." It serves as an important text for the study of Korean Huayan thought and Sino-Korean Buddhist exchange. Not only does this work hold a significant place in the history of Goryeo Buddhism, it also provides valuable material for understanding the development of Huayan studies in East Asia.
