### 與馮具區太史

> With Scholar Feng Juqu

憶昔對坐龍華樹下。一別二十餘年。人世幻夢。於此足觀矣。貧道向沉幻網。荷蒙法王正令。以金剛寶劍。而揮裂之。不然。何以有今日。是故彌感　聖恩不淺也。年來瘴鄉兀坐窮廬。惟以楞伽究祖師心印。所幸智竭情枯。於此法門。頗有一綫之路。隨所遊目自心境界。筆而記之。不覺墮增益障。意將以此為報恩地。久躭下劣。慧目未清。不識可與此法少分相應否。古人以此向上一路。徧歷百城。恨以業繫不前。不能三帀座下。謹遣侍者。持請印正。仰願慧光洞照。徹祕密嚴。大施門開。頓示寶藏。實所至望耳。

> I recall the days when we sat facing each other under the Dragon Flower Tree. More than twenty years have passed since we parted. The illusions of human life are truly evident in this. I, a humble monk, was once entangled in the web of delusion, but thanks to the true teachings of the Dharma King, it was severed with the Vajra Sword. Otherwise, how could I have reached this day? For this, I deeply feel the immeasurable kindness of the sage. In recent years, I have remained seated in this remote, mist-shrouded land, dwelling in a simple hut, focusing solely on the \*Lankavatara Sutra\* to explore the mind-seal of the patriarchs. Fortunately, through exhausting intellectual effort and drying up emotional attachments, I have found a faint path within this Dharma gate. As my mind wandered through its own realms, I recorded what I saw, unaware that I might have fallen into the trap of adding unnecessary complexities. My intention was to use this as a means to repay the kindness I have received. Yet, having long dwelled in inferior states, my wisdom eye remains unclear. I do not know if this work corresponds even slightly to the true Dharma. The ancients traveled a hundred cities in pursuit of the supreme path, but I regret that my karmic bonds hold me back, preventing me from circling your seat three times in reverence. I humbly send my attendant to present this for your verification. I earnestly pray that your illuminating wisdom may shine through, penetrating the secret depths, opening the great gate of compassion, and revealing the treasure store in an instant. This is my deepest hope.
