觀世音菩薩憐愍眾生故，說：「火唵吉祥法，能成一切事，能破一切煩惱罪障惡業。若有怨敵皆悉降伏，微建毘那夜迦瞋心即自歇息不復為害，眾人咸生愛敬。穿地作爐，辟方一肘，摩梨枝、摩練遮、白芥子、酪蜜酥等分和合，沈檀香木柴各長十二指，橫量指，截之著爐中燒。以手抄取少許藥，呪一遍放火中燒。如是滿一千八遍，能破一切業障，壽命長二百二十歲。相續七日能作唵法，壽命一千歲，身即清淨。能二七日作法，國王太子、輔相凡庶歸心恭敬。三七日作法，三十三天及諸眷屬，并日月、四天王天，與其眷屬悉來為作衛護，勒叉金剛與大効驗，觀世音菩薩滿其大願。若國土少雨，白芥子及酥以次呪之三日，火中燒即降雨。雨多不止，取此爐中灰呪一百八遍，向四方上散，雨即止。若惡雹下暴風卒起，還用此灰呪一百八遍，向有雲處遙散即止。若常誦此呪，力如那羅延，捨此身已即生極樂世界。在所生處常得宿命，乃至成佛。」

The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, moved by compassion for all beings, taught:

"The fire-om auspicious practice can accomplish all things, dissolve all afflictions, karmic obstacles, and evil deeds. Enemies will be subdued, and even the most hostile spirits will naturally calm down and stop causing harm, while all people will come to love and respect you.

First, dig a pit in the ground to serve as a fire altar, one cubit square. Mix equal parts of wood-apple twigs, mustard seeds, curd, honey, and ghee. Use sandalwood and aloeswood sticks, each twelve finger-widths long and one finger-width thick, and place them in the altar for burning. Take a small pinch of the mixture, chant the mantra once, and offer it into the fire.

Repeat this one thousand eight hundred times to dissolve all karmic obstacles and extend your lifespan to two hundred twenty years. If you continue the practice for seven days, your lifespan will reach one thousand years, and your body will be purified. Practicing for fourteen days will make kings, princes, ministers, and common people alike offer you their heartfelt respect and devotion.

After twenty-one days of practice, the thirty-three heavens and all their divine assemblies, along with the sun, moon, and the Four Heavenly Kings with their retinues, will come to protect you. The Vajra guardians will bestow great blessings, and Avalokiteshvara will fulfill your deepest aspirations.

If the land suffers from drought, chant over a mixture of mustard seeds and ghee for three days while burning it in the fire, and rain will fall. If rain falls too heavily, take ashes from the altar, chant one hundred eight times, and scatter them in all directions — the rain will stop. If destructive hail or violent storms arise, do the same: chant over the ashes one hundred eight times and scatter them toward the clouds from afar, and they will cease.

Those who recite this mantra regularly will gain strength like that of Narayana, and upon leaving this body, they will be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. In every life thereafter, they will always remember their past lives, until they attain full enlightenment."

The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, moved by compassion for all beings, taught:
