七衣
Seven-Piece Robe
(Sanskrit: uttarāsaṅga. In Chinese, this is called the "assembly robe." It has seven strips, two long and one short. Whenever attending a meal offering, listening to teachings, reciting scriptures, sitting in meditation, bowing to the Buddha, bowing to stupas, bowing to the abbot or senior monks, or when the monastic community gathers, one should wear this robe and recite this verse and mantra. The seven-strip robe represents cutting off anger and purifying speech karma.)
