### 懺悔耳根法

> Repentance Through the Ear Faculty Method

至心懺悔。比丘某甲與一切法界眾生從多劫來。耳根因緣隨逐外聲。聞妙音時心生惑著。聞惡聲時起百八種煩惱賊害。如此惡耳報得惡事。恒聞惡聲生諸攀緣。顛倒聽故當墮惡道邊地。邪見不聞正法。處處惑著無暫停時。坐此竅聲。勞我神識墜墮三塗。十方諸佛常在說法。我濁惡耳障故不聞。今始覺悟。誦持大乘功德海藏。歸向普賢菩薩及一切世尊。燒香散華。說耳過罪不敢覆藏。以是因緣令我與法界眾生。耳根所起一切重罪畢竟清淨懺悔已禮三寶。

> With utmost sincerity, I confess and repent. I, this monk \[name\], together with all beings across the Dharma Realm, have for countless eons followed external sounds through the condition of the ear faculty. When hearing beautiful sounds, the mind becomes attached and deluded; when hearing unpleasant sounds, it gives rise to the hundred and eight kinds of harmful afflictions. Such a corrupted ear brings about bad consequences: one constantly hears evil sounds, giving rise to all kinds of clinging. Due to this distorted way of listening, one will fall into the lower realms and borderlands. With wrong views, one cannot hear the true Dharma. Everywhere one is confused and attached, without a moment's rest. Because of this earhole of sounds, I trouble my consciousness and sink into the three unfortunate realms. The Buddhas of the ten directions are always teaching the Dharma, but my defiled and obstructed ears prevent me from hearing them. Now I begin to awaken. I recite and uphold the great ocean-like treasury of merits of the Mahayana. I turn my mind towards Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and all World-Honored Ones. I burn incense and scatter flowers, confessing the offenses of the ear without daring to conceal them. Through this cause and condition, may I and all beings in the Dharma Realm have all the heavy karma arising from the ear faculty completely purified. \[Having confessed, I pay homage to the Three Jewels.\]
