### 懺悔身根法

> Body Repentance Dharma

至心懺悔。比丘某甲與一切法界眾生從久遠來。身根不善貪著諸觸。所謂男女身分柔軟細滑。如是等種種諸觸顛倒不了。煩惱熾然。造作身業起三不善。謂殺盜婬。與諸眾生作大冤結。造逆破戒乃至焚燒塔寺。用三寶物無有羞恥。如是等罪無量無邊。從身業起說不可盡。罪垢因緣未來世中當墮地獄。猛火焰熾焚燒我身。無量億劫受大苦惱。十方諸佛常放淨光。照觸我等。身根重罪障故不覺。但知貪著麁弊惡觸。現受眾苦。後受地獄餓鬼畜生等苦。如是種種眾苦。沒在其中不覺不知。今日慚愧。誦持大乘真實法藏。歸向普賢菩薩及一切世尊燒香散華。說身過罪不敢覆藏。以是因緣令我與法界眾生。身根一切重罪畢竟清淨懺悔已禮三寶。

> With utmost sincerity, I confess and repent. I, a monk \[name\], together with all beings throughout the Dharma realm, have from distant ages past harbored unwholesome attachments of the body's senses, craving various tactile sensations—such as the soft, smooth touch of male and female bodies, and all such deluded, inverted perceptions. Blazing with afflictions, we have performed bodily actions giving rise to the three unwholesome deeds: killing, stealing, and sexual misconduct. We have created great enmity with all beings, committed transgressions and broken precepts, even burning and destroying stupas and temples, and misusing the possessions of the Three Jewels without shame. These offenses are immeasurable and boundless, arising from bodily actions too numerous to describe. Due to the causes and conditions of these karmic stains, in future lives we will fall into the hells, where our bodies will be burned by raging flames, enduring immense suffering for countless billions of eons. Though the Buddhas of the ten directions constantly emit pure light that illuminates us, due to the heavy hindrances of our bodies' senses, we remain unaware, only knowing attachment to coarse, evil sensations. We experience suffering in the present, and will undergo suffering in hells, among hungry ghosts, and as animals. Overwhelmed by all these various forms of suffering, we remain oblivious and unknowing. Today, filled with shame and remorse, I recite and uphold the true treasury of the Great Vehicle teachings, take refuge in Universal Sage Bodhisattva and all World-Honored Ones, and offer incense and scatter flowers. I confess the wrongdoings of the body, daring not to conceal them any longer. Through this cause and condition, may I and all beings in the Dharma realm achieve the complete purification of all heavy karmic hindrances of the body's senses. \[After confessing, pay homage to the Three Jewels.\]
