二、三時無因破生等
Second and Third Times: Refuting Causeless Production and So Forth
三世亦非理。
The past, present, and future are not ultimately real.
又於三世因亦非理，何則？因若在前，因為誰因？因若在後，何用因為？若因果同時，此同時所生之因果，誰為誰因，誰是誰果？如是三世因亦非理。
Furthermore, the concept of cause across the three times is also unreasonable. Why? If the cause exists before the effect, for whom is it a cause? If the cause exists after the effect, what purpose does the cause serve? If cause and effect occur simultaneously, then in this simultaneous arising, which is the cause and which is the effect? Thus, the notion of cause across the three times is also unreasonable.
「在前在後與同時，因皆有過生非有。」
"Whether cause comes before, after, or at the same time as effect, in all cases, it fails to truly produce it."
