Respectfully sending to the Tang capital.
To the Attendant Censor Li of the Left Shen Ce Army.
The Abbot's Discourses on the Meaning of the Vinaya, three scrolls.
In presenting the Abbot's Discourses on the Meaning, an attendant censor is able to understand and penetrate the ancient teachings, harboring in his heart the welfare of all beings. They convey the profound scriptures of the Two Vehicles and make clear the unspoken meanings of the ten thousand things. These bequeathed teachings first reached the Eastern lands, and the sacred teachings then flowed back to the Western Qin. May they spread widely throughout China, proclaiming the supreme work. Where the model had been lost, may it be made whole again; where study is scant, may it be easily understood. With utmost sincerity, may it be universally transmitted. This would be most fortunate.
Respectfully submitted.
