魏氏女
Wei family daughter
梁郡人。其父兄皆修淨業。女亦篤志往生。無何化去。七日復甦。即升高座。誦無量壽經。既畢。下啟父言。兒去。便往無量壽國七寶池中。兒及父兄。各有一大蓮華。當生其內。惟母獨無。不勝此悲。故來相報。語訖而瞑。母自是亦奉法焉(冥祥記)。
A woman from Liangjun. Her father and brothers all cultivated the practices for rebirth in the Pure Land, and she too devoted herself wholeheartedly to seeking rebirth there. Before long, she passed away. Seven days later, she revived. She immediately ascended a high seat and recited The Larger Sutra on Amitāyus. When she had finished, she came down and said to her father, "When I left, I went straight to the Land of Amitāyus, to the pool of seven jewels. You, my father and brothers, each have a great lotus flower there, and you will be reborn within them. Only my mother has none. I could not bear this sorrow, and so I have come back to tell you." Having spoken these words, she closed her eyes and died. From that time on, her mother also embraced the Dharma.(Record of Omens from the Unseen)
