為官雖好。倚官為業。後生墮落。受苦無量。應當一心念佛。求生淨土。直饒位至三公。不若蓮登九品。念佛求生淨土。勝似為官。遠之遠矣。

> Though being an official is good, relying on official status as one's career leads to future downfall and immeasurable suffering. You should single-mindedly recite the Buddha's name and seek rebirth in the Pure Land. Even if you rise to the highest ranks of power, it is not as good as ascending the nine lotus grades.
