大蓮花三昧耶印第一
Great Lotus Samadhi Seal, Chapter 1
「二手合掌，以二頭指二中指二無名指各竪磔開微屈，頭指相去寸半，二大指二小指各竪相著微屈。印明曰：
With both hands pressed together in prayer, extend the two index fingers, two middle fingers, and two ring fingers slightly apart and gently curved. The tips of the index fingers should be about half an inch apart. Extend the two thumbs and two little fingers, bringing them close together and slightly curved. The mantra and mudra are as follows:
「娜謨囉怛娜(二合)怛囉(二合)耶野(一)娜麼阿(上)唎耶(二合)婆(無何反，下同音)露抧諦濕嚩(二合無可反，下同音)囉野(二)菩地薩埵野(三)摩訶薩埵野(四)摩訶迦(居邏反，下同音)嚕抳迦野(五)唵(喉中擡聲呼)(六)參(去)摩曳譟(蘇到反，下同音)咩(彌養反)(七)扇諦彈諦(八)薩嚩參(去)摩耶(去)(九)努鉢囉(二合)尾瑟𪘨(二合)(十)奴邏努霓(魚抧反)(十一)莎嚩(二合)訶(十二)」
Namo ratna-trayāya (1) Namo ārya-avalokiteśvarāya (2) Bodhisattvāya (3) Mahāsattvāya (4) Mahā-kārunikāya (5) Oṃ (6) Saṃye svāhā (7) Saṃti dhaṃti (8) Sarva-saṃyā (9) Nū-pra-viṣṭaṃ (10) Nurā-nūṇi (11) Svāhā (12)
「若欲作曼茶羅時，當於壇地先誦身心三明一千八十遍，即結此印明印七遍，以印東西南北四維上下各揮三遍，靜心想印作百千葉七寶開敷蓮華，供養一切諸佛菩薩、諸天龍神一切歡喜。凡欲洗浴，以小心明加𭠒字，明水七遍，右手摩水則用沐浴，不明不用。」
When you wish to create a mandala, first recite the Threefold Mind Mantra one thousand and eighty times over the altar ground. Then, form this mudra and chant the mantra seven times. With the mudra, sweep it three times each toward the east, west, south, north, the four intermediate directions, above, and below. In stillness, visualize the mudra transforming into a thousand-petaled lotus of the seven treasures, fully blossoming, to make offerings to all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, heavenly beings, dragon spirits, and all beings, bringing them joy.
Whenever you wish to bathe, add the syllable "Hūṃ" to the Mind Mantra and chant it seven times over the water. Then, with your right hand, touch the water and use it for bathing. If the mantra is not chanted, do not use the water.
