為母三周求拔濟啟
Three Weeks of Prayers for the Salvation of My Mother
敬禮十方三寶，阿彌陀佛，及二大士，清淨海眾。復禮現前真實善友，悉同啟請。伏願以慈善力，悲救心，為我亡母優婆夷金大蓮，隨意課持經咒。哀令我母，未生淨土，決定得生，已生淨土，決定見佛。若已見佛，增長品位。母棄不肖，已經三載。及省己躬，無德可報，實深慚愧，痛自悔責，負世閒孝道，乖出世本期，自非眾友提攜，恐貽未來深累。唯願廣菩提心、廣菩提願、廣菩提行，普為法界眾生，經生父母，歷劫親緣，運無緣慈，興同體悲，令一經一咒，功沾沙界，福等虛空。願智旭為最後得解脫人，盡見一切眾生，皆先解脫。仰憑十方三寶，淨土聖賢，現前善友，攝受救護。
I bow in reverence to the Three Jewels of the ten directions, to Amitabha Buddha, and to the two great Bodhisattvas, along with the pure ocean assembly of sages. I also bow to the true and virtuous friends present here, and together we make this heartfelt request.
With compassionate strength and a heart of merciful rescue, I beseech you to dedicate the recitation of sutras and mantras for my departed mother, the laywoman Jin Dalian. May she, if not yet reborn in the Pure Land, be assured of rebirth there; if already reborn, may she be assured of beholding the Buddha. If she has already seen the Buddha, may her spiritual rank increase.
My mother left this unworthy child three years ago. Reflecting on myself, I have no virtue to repay her, and I am deeply ashamed, painfully regretful, and reproachful. I have failed in worldly filial duty and strayed from the original intent of transcending this world. Were it not for the guidance of all my friends, I fear I would incur profound future burdens.
I only wish to expand the bodhi mind, the bodhi vow, and the bodhi action, universally for all beings in the dharma realm—for parents in past lives and relatives across countless kalpas—to exercise unconditional compassion and arise with empathy as one body. May every sutra and every mantra performed bring merit that touches all worlds and blessings as vast as empty space.
I pray that Zhixu may be the last to attain liberation, and that all beings may be liberated before me. I rely upon the Three Jewels of the ten directions, the sages and worthies of the Pure Land, and the virtuous friends present here to accept, protect, and rescue us.
