### 結壇持往生咒偈

> Incense Offering Verse for Amitabha Recitation

稽首無量壽，拔業障根本。觀世音勢至，海眾菩薩僧。我迷本智光，妄墮輪迴苦。曠劫不暫停，無救無歸趣。劣得此人身，仍遭劫濁亂。雖獲預僧倫，未入法流水。目擊法輪壞，欲挽力未能。良由無始世，不植勝善根。今以決定心，求生極樂土。乘我本誓船，廣度沈淪眾。我若不往生，不能滿所願。是故於娑婆，畢定應捨離。猶如被溺人，先求疾到岸。乃以方便力，悉拯瀑流人。我以至誠心，深心迴向心。然臂香三炷，結一七淨壇。專持往生咒，唯除食睡時。以此功德力，求決生安養。我若退初心，不向西方者。寧即墮泥犁，令疾生改悔。誓不戀人天，及以無為處。仰願大威神，力無畏不共，三寶無邊德，加被智旭等。折伏使不退，攝受令增長。

> I bow to Amitabha, the Infinite Life, Who removes the obstacles of karma and root delusions. To Guanyin, Mahasthama, and the ocean-like assembly of bodhisattvas and sages. I was lost, blind to my own innate wisdom, And fell into the suffering of endless rebirths. For countless eons, I wandered without rest, Without rescue, without a refuge. Now, I have barely obtained this human life, Yet am still caught in the turmoil of a corrupt age. Though I have been fortunate to join the Sangha, I have not yet entered the stream of the Dharma. I witness the Dharma wheel being destroyed, And wish to restore it, but lack the strength. This is because, since beginningless time, I never planted superior virtuous roots. Now, with a determined mind, I seek to be born in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. Riding the ship of my original vow, I will broadly rescue all sinking beings. If I fail to be born there, I cannot fulfill this aspiration. Therefore, in this Saha world, I must completely let go. Just as a drowning person First rushes to reach the shore, Then, with skillful means, Saves all those caught in the rapids. With utmost sincerity, With deep resolve, with my mind turned toward that goal, I burn three incense sticks on my arm And establish a pure altar for seven days. I will exclusively recite the Rebirth Mantra, Setting it aside only for eating and sleeping. With the power of this merit, I earnestly seek rebirth in the Land of Peace and Sustenance. If I ever retreat from this initial resolve And no longer aspire to the Western Land, May I immediately fall into hell So that I quickly repent and change. I vow never to cling to the realms of humans or gods, Nor to any state of passive tranquility. I reverently pray to the Great Awesome Power, The Strength of Fearlessness, the Unshared Qualities, And the infinite virtues of the Three Jewels, To bless me—Zhi Xu and all beings like me. Subdue our afflictions so we never regress, Embrace and support us so our virtue may grow.
