### 再禮金光明懺文

> Repentance Ritual of the Golden Light

歸命能仁福慧尊，最勝金光明性海。信相功德大吉祥，同賜慈悲垂攝護。

> I bow to the Enlightened One, the embodiment of virtue and wisdom, The supreme golden light that is the ocean of Buddha-nature. To the faithful, virtuous, and greatly auspicious ones, I pray you grant your compassion, blessings, and protection.

智旭等列六人，不錄，普為眾生，求滅罪障，轉正法輪。如法建金光明經吉祥妙懺，至誠咨請十方三寶，功德大天，普願圓慈，速垂妙應。伏念自迷金光明性，備起貪瞋癡業。著我、我所，橫生是非。障智慧之真源，妄求世智；喪聖財之法樂，妄愛俗財。致使瞞因昧果，藐法欺心。感報墮三塗劇苦，餘殃使百務無貲。今始覺悟，痛改前非。翹五體以投誠，瀝一心而悔罪。願我等無始至今，三業六根所作重障，煩惱惡業花果報殃，以金光明海三寶功德，及吉祥大天本願威神，於一念閒悉皆消滅。顯發自性慧輪，成就本來福聚，紹隆三寶，普利塵沙。又願智旭，身無眾病，心悟總持，自證法門，清淨演說。某痛念娑婆，深求大法，身心一致，福慧並修。某明了正法，剖斷狐疑，懲流俗心，希先哲行。某猛省無常，力除瞋慢，反躬自勵，不念人非。某廣發大願，善學古人。某永離掉舉，成就深因。某開發蒙憒，增長信根。又願執勞運力，隨喜見聞。同植勝因，等沾殊利。乃至法界含識，均藉經威，仰資懺力，頓空二死，並證三身。恭惟金海聖天，見知證攝。

> Zhi Xu and others bow before the steadfast presence of the Ten Directions' Three Jewels, the Merit-Virtue Great Heaven, and the vast assembly of holy beings, extending offerings with devoted reverence. With profound modesty, we confess our wrongdoings, seeking the elimination of all obstructing karma and the turning of the True Dharma Wheel. Reflecting deeply, we recognize that since time without beginning, we have been lost in the nature of Golden Light. We have fully initiated the deeds of greed, anger, and ignorance—clinging to self and what belongs to self, wrongly creating conflicts of right and wrong. We have obstructed the true source of wisdom, vainly seeking worldly knowledge; we have lost the Dharma joy of sacred wealth, foolishly desiring mundane riches. Consequently, we have deceived ourselves regarding causes and effects, scorned the Dharma, and cheated our own minds—creating karma that causes us to undergo bitter suffering in the three lower realms, with residual calamities making all endeavors futile. Now we have begun to awaken, determined to correct past mistakes with profound resolution. We earnestly prostrate with our whole body, pouring out our sincere hearts in repentance. We pray that all our heavy obstacles, created from beginningless time through our three actions and six senses—our afflictions, evil karma, and the fruits and retributions of flowering karma—may be instantly purified and completely eradicated through the power of the Golden Light Ocean's Three Jewels' virtues and the majestic power of the Great Auspicious Heaven's primal vows. May we manifest the innate wheel of wisdom, accomplish our primordial wealth of merit, propagate and exalt the Three Jewels, and universally benefit all beings as numerous as dust motes. We further pray that Zhi Xu be free from all physical ailments, realize the essence of mantras, personally attain and clearly proclaim the Dharma teachings from a pure heart. May these devoted practitioners deeply contemplate the sufferings of Samsara, earnestly seek the great Dharma; unify body and mind; equally cultivate both merit and wisdom. May they clearly understand the true Dharma, decisively cut away all doubts; reform worldly habits; cherish the conduct of ancient sages. May they keenly realize impermanence, vigorously overcome anger and arrogance; turn inward for self-discipline; cease dwelling on others' faults. May they broadly generate great vows; skillfully learn from the wise of old—forever depart from restlessness; accomplish profound causes. May the ignorant be awakened and their roots of faith be strengthened. We also pray that those who labor and exert effort, who rejoice at what they see and hear, may all equally plant supreme causes and partake equally in the extraordinary benefits. We further dedicate the Dharma realm to all sentient beings with consciousness, that they may equally rely on the awesome power of the sutras, draw on the strength of this repentance, suddenly transcend both kinds of death, and simultaneously realize the three bodies of enlightenment—reverently upheld by the Ocean of Golden Light and the Holy Great Heaven, who see, know, witness, and receive.
