### 閱藏願文

歸命法界大醫王，種種應病妙法藥。觀音地藏看病母，願賜慈悲同哀護。

智旭與眾生，背一真性，起諸幻疾，三惑為眾罪根元，四大為百病窟宅，保妄念而塵劫不肯捨離，受毒身而輪迴無有窮絕。幸獲人倫，仍嬰眾苦，叨成僧相，尚纏惑根，禪那教觀，徒有虛名；戒律總持，咸無實義。致使魔軍得便，障難頻侵。身則眾病交煎，心則他緣逼迫，欲行善事，每不能成。是以深生慚愧，諦信因緣，歸命觀音地藏二大慈尊，求哀懺悔，懇賜護持。為療惡瘧，持完大悲章句二百七十堂，而瘧漸愈。然香三炷，供養三寶。願與眾生，離病因緣，斷病苦報，身心安樂，真性現前，發起大心，行諸妙行。復然三炷，今日為始，暫減恒課，續閱藏經。願此番決無障緣，從始至終，字字明解。外則事事豐饒，行人和順，毫無片節擾心；內則精義入神，隨聞入證，決得聞持勝力。普與眾生，開頓悟門，成正修路；摧魔外邪幢，奪權小僻執；沈痾立起，枯槁旋生。恭唯慈覆。

> Zhi Xu and all beings have turned away from our one true nature, giving rise to various illusory ailments. The three delusions are the root of all offenses, and the four elements are the dwelling places of countless diseases. Clinging to false thoughts, we refuse to let go for eons; enduring poisoned bodies, we cycle through rebirth without end. Fortunate enough to be born as humans, we still suffer many pains; unworthily assuming the form of a monk, we remain entangled by the roots of delusion. Our practice of Chan meditation and scriptural study is but an empty name; our observance of precepts and mastery of teachings holds no true meaning. As a result, demon armies find their advantage, and obstacles frequently invade us. Our bodies are afflicted by all kinds of illnesses, and our minds are pressured by external conditions. When we wish to do good deeds, we often fail to accomplish them. Thus, I deeply feel shame and remorse, sincerely believe in the law of cause and effect, and take refuge in the two great compassionate ones—Guanyin and Kṣitigarbha. I beg for their forgiveness and earnestly request their protection. In order to cure a severe malaria, I completed two hundred and seventy recitations of the Great Compassion Dhāraṇī, and the malaria gradually healed. I then burned three incense sticks as an offering to the Three Jewels. I vow that together with all beings, I will separate from the causes and conditions of illness, cut off the karmic retribution of suffering, attain peace of body and mind, realize our true nature, awaken the great resolve, and practice all wondrous deeds. I burn three more incense sticks, and beginning today, I will temporarily reduce my daily practice to continue reading the Buddhist canon. I vow that this time there will be absolutely no hindrances, and from start to finish, every word will be clearly understood. Externally, may all affairs be abundant, and may fellow practitioners be harmonious, with not the slightest disturbance to trouble my mind. Internally, may I penetrate the profound principles, and upon hearing each teaching, attain realization, surely gaining the sublime power to remember and uphold the Dharma. I pray that together with all beings, we may open the gate of sudden enlightenment, walk the path of true cultivation, crush the heretical banners of demons and outsiders, and uproot the stubborn attachments of lesser vehicles. May our deep-rooted ailments be instantly cured, and our withered state be restored to life. I humbly rely on the Compassionate One's protection.
