Tānmóyēshè (Dharmayaśas) and Tānmójùduō (Dharmagupta) were prominent monks active during the Northern and Southern dynasties period. They are credited with translating important Mahayana scriptures such as the Great Prajnaparamita Sutra (Da Banruo Boluomi Jing) and the Lotus Sutra (Miaofa Lianhua Jing), respectively.
