The monk Fazhu (法炬, 495–568) of the Northern Wei and Northern Qi dynasties was known for his extensive translation work, including the translation of the Great Prajnaparamita Sutra. His contemporary, the scholar Fajing (法鏡), also active during this period, is credited with translating the Vimalakirti Sutra.
