The monk Zhi Li (知礼) of the Song Dynasty is renowned for his extensive commentaries on the *Nirvana Sutra*, meticulously arranging and elucidating its teachings. Ming Zhen Jue (明 真觉) also undertook a significant reorganization and re-editing of these commentaries, further solidifying Zhi Li's scholarly legacy.
