Dao Xuan (596-667 CE) of the Tang Dynasty was a prominent Vinaya master and the author of the *Collection of Vinaya Essentials* (Jieyuan Yijie). The Qing Dynasty scholar Du Ti (presumably Du Ti 讀體, active in the 17th-18th century) continued and expanded upon his work, likely with a commentary or supplement to Dao Xuan's texts.
