Ven. Wenda Jie (闻达解) was a monk during the Northern Zhou Dynasty who is credited with translating the *Mahāprajñāpāramitā Śāstra* (大般若波罗蜜多经论), also known as the *Da zhidu lun*. This monumental commentary on the *Prajñāpāramitā Sūtras* is a foundational text in Mahayana Buddhism.
