> A Self-Encouragement

銅墻鐵壁，趨向不得；百尺竿頭，動步即失。諸佛現前，無可為力，唯自勉之。識渠是賊，渠正是汝，墮身荊棘，橫行直撞，以怨報德。何以故？轉側轉側。

> An iron wall, a bronze fortress—no approach can breach it. At the top of a hundred-foot pole, one step forward and you fall. Even if all Buddhas appear before you, they can offer no help—only your own effort avails. Know that it is a thief, yet it is none other than yourself. Falling into thorns, charging straight ahead, colliding blindly—repaying kindness with enmity. Why? Turn, turn—just turn yourself around.
