### 七一、元杭州西天目山尼普貴傳

> Seventy-one: Biography of Nun Pugui of West Tianmu Mountain, Hangzhou, Yuan Dynasty

普貴，字無為。因夫主忠愍公使日本，死於王事，即盛年斷髮為尼。躬參高峰和尚於杭之天目，得其性妙之旨。隨宜說法，皆成妙諦，好拈頌古德機緣，極為人所愛誦。至治二年七月朔，趺坐而逝。闍維之，獲五色舍利，斵石為窣堵葬焉。其男名都中為兩浙漕使，轉福建道都元帥。一日，奠於筵，有折山丹花於瓶者，俄結一物，如杯，玉雪瑩然，人咸異之。

> Pugui, whose style name was Wuwei, became a nun in her prime after her husband, the Duke of Loyalty and Sincerity, died in service to the king while on a mission to Japan. She personally studied under the monk Gaofeng at Tianmu Mountain in Hangzhou, grasping the profound essence of nature's subtlety. In her teachings, she adapted skillfully to circumstances, always conveying profound truths. She was fond of composing verses on the insights of ancient sages, which were widely cherished and recited. On the first day of the seventh month in the second year of the Zhizhi era, she passed away while seated in meditation. After cremation, multicolored relics were found, and a stone stupa was built to house them. Her son, named Duzhong, served as the Transport Commissioner of Liangzhe and later as the Commander-in-Chief of the Fujian Circuit. One day, while making an offering at her altar, someone placed a mountain lily in a vase. Soon, something resembling a cup formed—pure as jade and snow—astonishing all who saw it.
