### 一〇四、清當湖思禪庵尼行浩傳

> Biography of Nun Xinghao of Siguan Temple in Pinghu

行浩，字法淨，當湖人，姓孫。父為水部臨鵡公，母夢西域異僧投宿而生。丱歲奇穎，喜讀父書；長則佐父出主蕪關稅政。于歸未幾，知世相匪堅，乃請薙髮，父許之，遂投徑山費隱容披緇登具。苦心力究，發明大事，受以記莂，高蹈林間，不群若輩。後住思禪庵，一日，眾請陞座，浩舉德山凡見僧入門便棒話，遂頌曰：「當機截斷聖凡情，掌上孤光若日明。縱使銅頭鐵額漢，也須一棒一條痕。」

> Xing Hao, whose courtesy name was Fajing, was from Danghu and belonged to the Sun family. His father served as the Minister of Waterways, and his mother dreamed of a monk from the Western Regions seeking lodging before giving birth to him. As a child, he was exceptionally bright and enjoyed reading his father's books. When he grew older, he assisted his father in managing customs affairs at Wuguan. Not long after his marriage, he realized the impermanent nature of worldly life and requested permission to shave his head and become a monk. His father consented, and so he went to Mount Jing, where he took monastic vows under the guidance of Feiyin Rong. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to practice, ultimately attaining profound realization and receiving the transmission. He then retreated to the forests, distancing himself from worldly affairs. Later, he resided at the Si Chan Hermitage. One day, at the request of the assembly, he ascended the teaching seat and spoke of the story of Deshan, who would strike anyone entering the gate with his staff. He then composed a verse: "In the moment, severing all thoughts of sacred and profane, The solitary light in the palm shines like the sun. Even those with heads of bronze and brows of iron Must bear the mark of a single strike."
